Having completed Leg 10, aka Tokoroa ON – Brand, we did our emotional goodbyes and headed home. Travelling along the eastern side of Lake Taupo we could see on the opposite side of the Lake the journey that we had just completed. It took up the entire horizon.

A new leg began two days ago now, at the Poureora forest campsite south of Te Kuiti. A car load of our new students arrived, and with six of them crammed into the van we were starting the biggest leg yet.
